What we collect when you visit glimplayx.com, why we collect it, and how you stay in control of it.

1. Who we are
This policy covers the website glimplayx.com and the GlimPlayX demo game reachable from it. Throughout the document, "GlimPlayX", "we" and "us" refer to the operator of that website. You can reach us about anything in this policy at privacy@glimplayx.com.
2. What we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and understand whether it works.
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen size, referring page and the pages you open on our site. This is generated automatically by your browser on every request.
- Usage data. Aggregated, non-identifying measurements such as how long a page was open, which sections were scrolled to and which buttons were used.
- Demo session data. If you open the demo, the virtual credit balance and round history for that session. Demo credits have no cash value and are not linked to a named account.
- Data you send us. Anything you choose to include when you email one of the addresses listed on this site.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, government identifiers or health data. Please do not send them to us.
3. Why we use it
- To serve the site and keep the demo running correctly on your device.
- To measure traffic and improve page performance, content and layout.
- To detect abuse, automated scraping and attempts to break the demo.
- To answer messages you send us.
- To meet legal obligations that apply to us.
Under the GDPR, our legal bases are legitimate interest for security and basic measurement, consent for any optional analytics or marketing cookies, and legal obligation where a law requires us to retain something.
4. Cookies and similar technology
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functioning — remembering your cookie choice and holding demo session state. They are set without consent because the site cannot work without them.
Optional analytics cookies are only set after you agree. You can withdraw that agreement at any time by clearing cookies for this domain in your browser settings, which returns you to the necessary-only state.
Most browsers also let you block cookies outright. If you do that, the informational pages will still render but the demo may not keep your session between reloads.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that make the site work — hosting, content delivery and analytics — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. Each is bound by a contract that limits their use of the data to our instructions.
We will also disclose data where a valid legal request obliges us to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
6. Where data is processed
Our infrastructure is hosted in the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, that transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. How long we keep it
- Server access logs: up to 30 days, then deleted.
- Aggregated analytics: up to 14 months.
- Demo session data: cleared when the session ends or the browser storage is cleared.
- Email correspondence: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
8. Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it to another provider. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent for anything you previously agreed to.
Write to privacy@glimplayx.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
9. Children
This site and the demo are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the site, contact us and we will delete anything associated with that session.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to logs and analytics is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep the amount of data we hold as small as we reasonably can.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and move the "last updated" date. Material changes will also be announced on the homepage for at least 30 days.
